When typing in Microsoft Word, you may want to adjust the line spacing, depending on the style of the document. These steps enable double spacing and vary slightly between versions. Therefore, you should be able to  intuitively adapt them for older versions. 

TIPS - 

Method 1:- Use the keyboard shortcut CTRL +1 to single space , 

Method 2 :- CTRL +2 to double space

 Method 3 :-CTRL +5 to set the spacing to 1.5 line spacing on any line, paragraph.
