USE THE MICROSFT WORD FORMAT PAINTER TO COPY FORMATTING
If you are attempting to replicate the copying of text format to other text, you can utilize the Microsoft Format Painter feature, as illustrated in the pictures below. The top picture illustrates the Microsoft Format painter feature in Microsoft Word 2010,while the bottom picture illustrates the feature in previous versions of Microsoft Word.
The Format painter feature is located in the Home tab of the Microsoft Word Ribbon . In previous versions of Microsoft Word, the format painter feature is located in the toolbar at the top of the program window, below the menu bar.
How to use Format Painter .
1. Select the text with the formatting you would like to copy to other text.
2. Click on the format painter button in Microsoft word ribbon or toolbar.
3. The mouse pointer will change to a paintbrush .
4. If you ,for instance, have formatted a heading in Microsoft word with a certain formatting , you can use the same formatting on another piece of text.
